La Velilla Dolmen, Osorno, Palencia

ESP El dólmen de La Velilla es un sepulcro colectivo ubicado en lo alto de un cerro próximo a Osorno El Mayor (Palencia, Castilla y León, España) en el que se identificaron más de un centenar de individuos enterrados. Se data en el III milenio AC, entre el Neolítico y el Calcolítico. Se trata de un sepulcro típico de cámara y corredor, aunque las piedras que lo forman se encuentran dispuestas en horizontal. Durante las intervenciones arqueológicas se identificaron restos de una cabaña de un poblado anterior.

ENG The dolmen of La Velilla is a collective burial site located at the top of a hill near Osorno El Mayor (Palencia, Castilla y León, Spain) where more than a hundred buried individuals have been identified. It dates back to the 3rd millennium BC, between the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods. It is a typical chamber and corridor tomb, although the stones that form it are arranged horizontally. During the archaeological works, remains of a hut from a prior settlement were identified.
